Every trading day, stocks quietly cross two classic turning-point signals — a Golden Cross, a Death Cross — or push into extreme overbought or oversold territory. Catching all four by hand, across a whole market, is nearly impossible. And even when you spot one, telling a real signal from noise (a whole sector moving together, or one stock spiking on news) takes real digging.
In this video I walk through the AI-automated routine I built and documented using Claude (Anthropic's AI) to do that research for me — every weekday, across the whole market.
What the routine does: Logs into Barchart's live screener data, pulls four reversal signals in one pass — Golden Cross, Death Cross, RSI Overbought, and RSI Oversold — applies a real quality bar (minimum price, liquidity floor, RSI thresholds), ranks each list by signal strength, and flags sector clustering or news-driven spikes in plain English before you ever look at a ticker.
The four signals covered in the guide:
Golden Cross (bullish reversal) — 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day
Death Cross (bearish reversal) — 50-day moving average crosses below the 200-day
RSI Overbought (potential fade candidates) — 14-day RSI above 70 after a real short-term run
RSI Oversold (potential bounce candidates) — 14-day RSI below 30 after a real short-term pullback
